Child Support
The amount of child support to be paid by the supporting parent is determined by using calculations that factor in several matters, including gross incomes of the parties and other monthly expenses related to the children and then based upon child support guidelines established by the SC Department of Social Services. Every situation is unique, with its own set of criteria. We are here to help you in arriving at an amount of support to be paid and having that amount established in the Family Court.
If your child support obligation has already been established and you have had a substantial change in your circumstances that has affected your monthly wages, we can also help you renegotiate your child support obligation so that you will not find yourself adversely affected during times of economic hardship.
